Tell us your basic Bio in a few sentence?
I am a 38 year old Husband, owner of retarded pets, United States Naval Officer, amateur Long Driver, golf lover, and Crossfitter. I hail from the great state of Minnesota and do not have an accent at all “dontchaknow”!
What is your athletic background?
I played all the usual sports as a kid, baseball, football, basketball, and “jumped” track. Later on I focused mostly on basketball and track, and of course kept golf in the bag as well.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I have been Crossfitting since 2008, started in San Diego at Crossfit Flood.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?
Constantly varied ass whopping…no really I like not doing the same boring ass workout every Monday, Wednesday, or CHEST and TRI day.
What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Liberation?
I love the way this community of people truly cares for one another and their success, I saw that the first week I was in the box…this was a good box to be a part of..
Why do you choose CFL as your training facility?

Do you consider yourself an athlete? Why?
I have always thought of myself as “athletic” in that I love to do about any type of sport, (at least once) and really can’t sit still for very long, (ask those that have known me for a bit). But I actually do now, it helps me think about beating things that I want to accomplish, either in the gym, or getting the “tin cup” shot over the water and on the green in two.
Favorite benchmark/CFL WOD?
It is a toss up between Randy, and Karen/ my CFL WOD…I think I actually liked the Liberator the one time I did it there.
Favorite/most hated CrossFit movements?
Favorite would be Double Unders, with cleans as a close second, most hated would be strict press or handstand push-ups.
What is your Short term goal/Long term CrossFit goals?
Short term goal is to find enough equipment on board the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) to fulfill my crossfit needs for 6 months…Long term, get my ass back and start helping others reach their Crossfit goals and PR’s.
What is your favorite Musician/band to listen to while doing the WODs?
I think Five Finger Death Punch, or Static X.
What is your choice of CrossFit Shoe?
I currently wear Merrells for my WODDING shoes, but I also have a set of Pendlay “Do-win” for my Oly lifting needs…(sorry Atom).
