Olympic Lifting Seminar

Hey athletes, I know it’s been a while…

Lots of great things have been happening at the gym lately and it is a lot to keep up with but we are loving every minute of it!

Our new Coach Suzy has been busting her butt for the gym and Carrie, Kerri and I are very happy to have as part of our CFL team. The “Warrior Program” and “Heavy Lifters” are up and running and have been excellent so far with even better stuff to come in these specialty programs. There are a ton of new faces in the gym, as you veterans may have noticed, please be sure to welcome them and make them feel like part of the family as you usually do.We are also slowly trying to procure more equipment for you all too so no training option gets missed. Even more to come soon, I promise.

I have set up something really great for our community, a 2-part Olympic lifting seminar that will be led by a highly-respected athlete, Rick Bucinell. On June 25th (Sat) from 11-2pm he will guide you through a solid understanding and application of the Clean + Jerk and the Snatch from a pro’s perspective. But the best part of this seminar is that Rick will then return in about a month to re-visit these moves with you and fine-tune you even further! This opportunity will skyrocket your progression, not only in these major lifts, but in CrossFit as a whole.

I have 20 slots available for this 2-part seminar and the best part….IT’S ONLY $60.00 to be a part of this! As your Head Coach I am very excited to be able to offer this to you guys,

SO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! Sign up with me the next time you come into the gym. We will also possibly be hosting another similar seminar towards the end of July based on the success of this one.

On a side note, we are getting into the summer months (Thank god we have A/C in our gym) so that means I need you all to ensure adequate water consumption throughout the day. That does not mean to just drink a bottle of water right before your WOD, hydration needs to be an all-day priority. We will still be running and rucking outside rain or shine like we always do. I can’t have one of you go down as a heat casualty.

Also please try to remember that my “door” is always open should you have any personal questions of me. Don’t ever hesitate to talk to me or any of the coaches about anything, we want your CFL experience to be the best it can possibly be here. We love you all!
